AO on The Radio

I joined 103.6FM Tameside Radio in March 2008 to present a rock show every Saturday evening at 6pm. In addition to that I have been an active volunteer at Radio Starlion since 1989 presenting the Saturday afternoon sports Programme.

• The Volantes Interview (22/8/09) [Listen]
  Formed in 2004, The Volantes are a four piece rock band from Tameside. Drawing from a diverse range of influences, the band has developed an original blend of melodic rock filled with energy & soul. I interviewed them days before the launch of their third CD, Incendia. • Stuart Davidson Interview (15/11/08) [Listen]
  As well as being the drummer with Ashton-based metal group A Killers Sphere, Stuart set up his own company to promote live events for up-and-coming bands at top venues in the North West. Listen to what Stuart had to say when he dropped in for a chat on my Power Hour programme.
  

• The Power Hour (13/9/08) [Listen]
  As it's title suggests, this show consists of classic rock and popular heavy metal music. It is broadcast on Tameside Radio from Ashton-under-Lyne every Saturday evening between 6-7pm. The station can be heard locally on 103.6FM and around the world via the Internet at tamesideradio.com.
  

• New Horizons (1/10/06) [Listen]
  Pure 107.8FM is Stockport's community radio station which began broadcasting in 2006. For the first six months, Radio Station, provided a regular 30 minute programme for inclusion in New Horizons on Sunday mornings. I hosted the first show with Alan Swallow, our Station Manager, as my guest.

• Nicholas Parsons Interview (30/7/1995) [Listen]
  Shortly after he released his autobiography I was lucky enough to interview Nicholas Parsons. An all-round broadcaster, comedian, actor and after-dinner speaker, Nicholas had much to talk about.
  

• Eamonn and Jimmy Interview (30/1/1994) [Listen]
  Eamonn O'Neal is a producer at Granada TV, and his brother-in-law, Jimmy Wagg, presents Sport on BBC Radio Manchester (formerly BBC GMR). Together they provide their own brand of humour on a Sunday morning.
